Our style is a blend of photojournalism and creative /contemporary. - Not your grandmother's "Stand here, smile and say "cheese"' photographers! When photographing, we are always looking for color palettes, backgrounds, layers textures and contrasts which enhance the image. This requires a lot of physical work. You will often see us have to get down on the ground or climb on top of tables, chairs or other objects to get the right viewpoint for amazing images. We are continually moving around to get various facets of the event to get ruly unique perspectives. All the while, interacting and having fun with the client. It is energizing! Curtis: For inspiration, I often look outside the wedding industry. For several hours each week I search the web for images to spark creativity, such as, movies, sports, marketing, wildlife, fashion, Flickr, architectural, abstract and such. Also, light is fascinating. There is much time spent in my head examining light. Morning light, evening light, cloudy light, sunlight, shade, light paterns, warm light, cool light - watching light interact with objects and people. It probably sounds strange, but this is how I often daydream… (maybe too much MSG in the Chinese food!) My ‘recipe' for images that move people's hearts combines: 1. Connecting with you, the client 2. Passion expressed in art through photography 3.Great gear The outcome must be uncompromising in quality and creativity!
